In the third installment of their horror series, Hays and McFall (The Cowboy and the Vampire: Blood and Whiskey, 2014, etc.) return to LonePine, Wyoming, as human Tucker and vampire Lizzie discover that they have a whole new type of bloodsucker to worry about. The world of vampires is dying out, as they’re unable to…
Here’s something we wrote for the Ramblings From This Chick blog. It’s a funny look at a not so funny topic — the time Clark almost blew his leg off with a .44 mag. In Blood and Whiskey, the second book in The Cowboy and Vampire Collection, there’s plenty of action. Since cowboys are involved,…
The vampires have “new orientation materials” in our fourth book, The Last Sunset. We finally got our hands on the PowerPoint presentation prepared by their UR department (Undead Resources) — So You’re a Vampire now. Hilarious and terrifying.
We recently came across an article by Brandon Keim in Wired titled Consciousness After Death: Strange Tales From the Frontiers of Resuscitation Medicine. It’s a nice summary of the real science underlying The Meta in The Cowboy and Vampire Thrillerseries. Increasingly, as scientists are able to measure life at the cellular and synaptic level, ways that extend life beyond simple respiration and blood flow, a period in between life and death has come into focus, or an “after-life” as its called in this article. Putting lots of birds on a bleeding Cowboy
Watch this video…reading is deadly for The Cowboy. We made this a month or so before the release of the new (old) edition in late 2010. In hindsight, with all the “put a bird on it” parodies of Portland (via Portlandia), it seems eerily like we were part of some sort of collective cosmic Oregon obsession with birds. Temporary insanity.
The first draft of Book 3 in The Cowboy and Vampire Seriesis done! Coming in at nearly 80,000 words, we are now diving into the initial edit. An exciting time, and shhh, but we think this book tops the first two! And here’s the other breaking news, the working title: Rough Trails and Shallow Graves. Of course, there’s a story behind the title. Stay tuned, to be revealed….продвижение сайта
